Best Forex Rebate Brokers: How To Rank 6 Brokers By Net Cost After Rebate

Search for the best forex rebate brokers and most lists rank brokers by the biggest rebate figure. But the rebate per lot is only half of the calculation, because the other half is the spread and commission the broker charges on the very same trade.
An account that returns USD 18 per lot can still cost more than one that returns USD 4 if its spread is meaningfully wider. The only fair comparison is to convert everything into net cost after rebate on a single product.
In this article, Backcom.io puts the rebates of six brokers (Exness, XM, HFM, Vantage, EC Markets and IC Markets) side by side, then gives you a formula and a five-step process to rank them yourself instead of trusting a fixed leaderboard.
What Are The Best Forex Rebate Brokers? Why A High Rebate Is Not The Whole Answer

The best forex rebate brokers are the ones that leave you with the lowest net cost after the rebate is deducted, measured on your own product, account type and trading volume. That is different from the popular reading of "the broker that pays the most", because the rebate is only one line in the cost calculation.
A forex rebate is cash you receive from the IB commission a broker pays its introducing partner, shared back per lot you close. It does not change the spread or the account conditions, so it lowers cost without turning a losing strategy into a profitable one. For the mechanics, see what a forex rebate is and how to calculate cashback per lot.
A fixed ranking by rebate size is misleading for three reasons:
- Every broker has several account types: On the same broker, a Standard account and a Raw account have very different rebates and fee structures.
- Spreads move with the session and liquidity: The "from 0.0 pips" figure on a broker page is a floor, not what you meet most of the time.
- Some rebates come with conditions: Certain high-rebate links add spread, and some brokers pay monthly rather than daily.
For that reason, Backcom.io does not publish a 1-to-6 ranking. This guide gives you verified figures, a formula and a way to measure, so the ranking you build fits your own product.
Forex Cashback Brokers Compared: Gold Rebates Of 6 Brokers
Gold (XAUUSD) is the reference product in the table below. It is widely traded and shows clear rebate gaps between account types. One lot of gold is 100 ounces, and every calculation in this article uses that convention.
| Broker | Account type / link | XAUUSD rebate (USD/lot) | Added spread | Payout cycle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Exness | Standard | 9.60 | None | Daily |
| Exness | Pro | 4.20 | None | Daily |
| Exness | Raw Spread, Zero | 3.00 | None | Daily |
| XM | Standard | 18.00 | None | Daily |
| XM | Ultra Low | 9.00 | None | Daily |
| HFM | Markup 1 | 18.00 | Yes, wider SP43 spread | Daily |
| HFM | Premium | 12.00 | None | Daily |
| HFM | Zero, Pro | 5.60 | None | Daily |
| Vantage | Standard, High link | 18.00 | Yes, spread 32–36 | Daily |
| Vantage | Standard STP, regular link | 11.30 | None | Daily |
| Vantage | RAW ECN | 1.60 | None | Daily |
| EC Markets | Standard, No Markup link | 18.00 | None | Daily |
| EC Markets | Standard, Markup 1 link | 28.00 | +1 pip | Daily |
| EC Markets | Standard, Markup 2 link | 38.00 | +2 pip | Daily |
| IC Markets | Standard | 4.00 | None | Early each month |
| IC Markets | Raw Spread | 2.00 | None | Early each month |
Rebates as shown on the live broker pages on 5 November 2026. Rebates can change, so check them again before you open an account or transfer your IB.
Three points in the table need a careful read:
- Exness changes its rebate with the spread: The rebate refreshes every 15 minutes, so the USD 9.60 for Standard is a snapshot, not a fixed rate.
- XM states "up to USD 18 per lot": The amount depends on both the product and the account type, so read the row for the account you plan to open.
- Vantage Cent accounts get no rebate: That account type sits outside the program even though it is the same broker.

Net Cost After Rebate: The Formula And Three Items To Add Or Subtract

Net cost after rebate is the money you actually lose per lot once you add the spread, add the commission and subtract the rebate. For gold, the short formula is:
Net cost per lot = Spread (USD/oz) × 100 + Round-trip commission − Rebate
Each part reads like this:
- Spread × 100: Gold spread is quoted in USD per ounce, and multiplying by 100 gives the cost per lot. A spread of USD 0.20/oz equals USD 20 per lot.
- Round-trip commission: The total fee to open and close. Standard accounts usually have none, while Raw accounts do.
- Rebate: The USD returned per closed lot, read from the rebate table on the broker page.
One handy rule follows from the formula: every USD 1 of rebate per lot offsets a USD 0.01/oz gap in gold spread, because 0.01 × 100 = 1. The rule lets you compare two accounts without knowing absolute spreads, only the gap between them.
Spreads change constantly, so the formula needs measurements taken in the hours you actually trade. How spreads form is explained in what is forex spread.
Which Broker Pays The Best Forex Rebate? Why A High Rebate Often Comes With A Wider Spread

To answer the question directly, EC Markets shows the largest number in the table: USD 38 per lot of gold on the Markup 2 link. It is also the clearest example of why a high rebate does not mean a low cost.
On the live EC Markets page, the No Markup, Markup 1 and Markup 2 links return USD 18, 28 and 38 per lot of gold, with 0, 1 and 2 pips of added spread. Each USD 10 step in rebate comes with 1 pip of extra spread. If a gold pip at EC Markets is USD 0.10/oz (a common convention, not verified with the broker), then 1 pip equals USD 10 per lot, exactly the extra rebate. In that case net cost barely changes between the links.
The table below shows the break-even spread gap between pairs, using only verified rebates and no assumed spreads:
| Pair compared | Rebate gap (USD/lot) | Break-even spread gap (USD/oz) |
|---|---|---|
| HFM Premium vs Exness Standard | 2.40 | 0.024 |
| Vantage Standard STP vs Exness Standard | 1.70 | 0.017 |
| XM Standard vs HFM Premium | 6.00 | 0.060 |
| EC Markets Markup 2 vs No Markup | 20.00 | 0.200 |
| Exness Standard vs IC Markets Standard | 5.60 | 0.056 |
Calculated from rebates as at 5 November 2026. The last column is how much wider the higher-rebate account's spread can be before its net cost exceeds the other account.
To read the table: the first row shows HFM Premium pays USD 2.40 more per lot than Exness Standard, so HFM is cheaper only while its gold spread is not more than USD 0.024/oz wider. That gap is far smaller than normal spread movement within one session, which is why measured data matters more than the rebate table.

Compare Forex Rebate Brokers: A Worked Example For Raw Accounts With Commission
When you compare forex rebate brokers, the answer differs by account group. In Standard accounts, spread is the main cost and the gap between brokers can be large. In Raw accounts, spread is tight but the broker charges commission, so the rebate directly offsets that commission.
The example below uses one assumed spread of USD 0.10/oz (USD 10 per lot) for all four accounts, purely to illustrate the formula. It is not a measured spread, and XM and EC Markets are left out because there is no verified commission figure for this group.
| Raw account | Round-trip commission (USD/lot) | XAUUSD rebate (USD/lot) | Net cost per lot (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exness Raw Spread | 7.00 | 3.00 | 14.00 |
| HFM Zero | 10.00 | 5.60 | 14.40 |
| Vantage RAW ECN | 6.00 | 1.60 | 14.40 |
| IC Markets Raw Spread | 7.00 | 2.00 | 15.00 |
Assumed spread of USD 0.10/oz for all four accounts. IC Markets commission is from its official fee page; HFM Zero at USD 10 is the gold rate from HFM's June 2025 announcement, and Exness and Vantage are figures recorded earlier, not yet checked against a live account, as at 5 November 2026.
Three things stand out:
- The gaps are tiny: The four accounts are at most USD 1 per lot apart, equal to USD 0.01/oz of spread, so a small spread widening can reorder them.
- A low rebate is not a weakness here: In the Raw group, lower commission offsets the lower rebate.
- The biggest rebate is not the cheapest: HFM Zero returns USD 5.60, yet its commission is also the highest, so under the assumed USD 0.10/oz spread its net cost stays above Exness Raw.
So you should not pick the Raw group on the rebate figure alone.

A 5-Step Process To Rank Brokers By Net Cost After Rebate

To turn the formula into a usable ranking, work through the steps in order.
Step 1: Fix your main product and volume
Choose the one product that makes up most of your volume, such as gold or EURUSD, and estimate your monthly lots. Rebates differ widely between products, so mixing products gives a wrong result.
Step 2: Pair accounts with the same fee structure
Put Standard next to Standard and Raw next to Raw. Pairing a no-commission account with a commission account only blurs two different kinds of cost.
Step 3: Measure spread on a demo account in your usual hours
Record the spread at open and at close at least 20 times per account, in the session you really trade. Use the median rather than the lowest value, because the lowest rarely appears at the moment you enter.
Step 4: Fill in the formula and rank
Calculate the net cost per lot for each account and multiply by your monthly lots. Use the USD 1 of rebate offsets USD 0.01/oz rule to check quickly. Two accounts less than USD 1 per lot apart should be treated as equal.
Step 5: Check the rebate conditions before opening an account
This is the step many traders skip. Confirm the following:
- The account must be opened or transferred through the correct link, because signing up directly without the partner link earns no rebate.
- An existing account may need an IB transfer, and only trades closed after the broker confirms the change are counted.
- Payout cycles differ: Exness, XM, HFM, Vantage and EC Markets pay daily, while IC Markets pays early each month.
- Some account types or orders may not qualify, for example Vantage Cent accounts.
- A rebate such as Exness changes with the spread, so read the table at the time you open the account.
For individual brokers, see is the Vantage rebate worth it and IC Markets rebates per lot.
Should Rebates Be Your First Criterion For Choosing A Broker?
No. A rebate should rank below regulation, withdrawal reliability and execution quality, because heavy slippage can cost you more than the rebate returns.
Check the legal entity and licence on the regulator's own register before you deposit, for example the FCA register. Licences differ by the legal entity you actually sign with, so read the entity that serves your country.
You should also understand the conflict of interest. This article comes from an introducing partner of the brokers it names, which earns IB commission when you open an account through its link, so every figure carries a date for you to verify. To understand that role, read what is an IB in forex. If you are comparing rebate services rather than brokers, see how to compare rebate services by seven criteria.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About The Best Forex Rebate Brokers
Which Of The Forex Rebates Brokers Pays The Most For Gold?
Among the six brokers checked, EC Markets on the Markup 2 link pays the most at USD 38 per lot of gold, followed by the Markup 1 link at USD 28, then a USD 18 group of XM Standard, HFM Markup 1, the Vantage High link and EC Markets No Markup. The highest rebate is not the lowest cost, because high-rebate links add spread. Apply the net cost formula before you choose.
Should I Choose A Broker By Rebate Or By Spread?
Choose by net cost, which combines both. Every USD 1 of rebate per lot offsets USD 0.01/oz of gold spread. If the spread gap is larger than that, the broker with the tighter spread is still cheaper even with a smaller rebate.
When Do Forex Cashback Brokers Pay Out?
It depends on the broker. On the live broker pages as at 5 November 2026, Exness, XM, HFM, Vantage and EC Markets pay daily, while IC Markets pays early each month. Where the money lands can also differ, so read the conditions on the broker page before you open an account.
Does A Higher Rebate Mean Higher Profit?
No. A rebate only reduces trading cost and does not change the result of a trade. A losing strategy still loses after the rebate, just a little less.
Conclusion: Rank Brokers By Net Cost, Not By The Rebate Figure
The best forex rebate brokers are not the ones with the biggest rebate figure, but the ones with the lowest net cost on your product, account and session. You need to look at three things together: measured spread, round-trip commission and the rebate currently shown.
Pick your main product, pair accounts with the same fee structure, measure spread on a demo, fill in the formula, then check the rebate conditions before you open an account. Redo the ranking whenever rebates or spreads change.
