Vantage Cashback: Is The Rebate Worth It On Standard STP Vs Raw ECN?

Look at Vantage's rebate table and one thing jumps out: Standard STP pays back 11.30 USD per lot on gold, while Raw ECN pays only 1.60 USD. Many traders conclude that Standard STP is the better deal. That conclusion skips half the picture, because a rebate is only one line in the cost of a trade. The other lines are the spread and the commission, and each account type charges them differently.
So the question "is Vantage cashback worth it?" needs two answers. Does the rebate lower your cost, and is it large enough to change which account you should pick? In this article, Backcom.io walks through:
- Vantage rebates per lot for Standard STP and Raw ECN, with the date each figure was checked.
- Why the two rebates differ so much in size.
- Net cost after rebate, using a formula, EURUSD and gold examples, and break-even spreads.
- Four trader scenarios to help you decide whether the rebate is worth it.
- Eligibility conditions, and the orders that may not be counted.
Vantage Rebate Per Lot: Standard STP Vs Raw ECN Rates

Vantage rebate per lot is a fixed USD amount paid back on every lot you trade, funded from the IB commission Vantage pays to the introducing partner. The Vantage broker page on this site publishes a table by account type and by product, effective from 1 October 2026.
| Product (USD per lot) | Standard STP | Premium Unlimited | Raw ECN |
|---|---|---|---|
| XAUUSD | 11.30 | 3.23 | 1.60 |
| EURUSD | 6.12 | 1.54 | 1.60 |
| GBPUSD | 6.12 | 1.31 | 1.60 |
| USDJPY | 7.02 | 1.02 | 1.60 |
| AUDUSD | 6.91 | 1.50 | 1.60 |
| BTCUSD | 7.66 | 4.76 | 7.66 |
Reference: the Vantage broker page on this site as at 5 November 2026 (table updated 24 October 2026, effective 1 October 2026). Rebates can change with live spreads, so check them again before you open an account.
Three points matter when reading the table. First, the unit is a fixed USD amount per lot, and the page gives no percentage rate. Second, Raw ECN pays exactly 1.60 USD on every forex pair and on gold in the table, while Standard STP changes by pair. Third, rebates are paid daily, between 02:00 and 04:00 UTC, in USD, and the page sets no minimum. The page says it lands in the trading account, and you should confirm this with support before relying on it.
Vantage also has a higher-rebate partner link that shows 18.00 USD per lot on gold. It comes with a wider spread than the regular link, and that spread cannot be converted into USD per ounce from the page, so this article leaves it out of the calculations. A pair-by-pair walkthrough sits in Vantage rebate rates, calculation and payout time.
Why Standard STP And Raw ECN Rebates Differ So Much

The two rebates differ because Vantage charges for the trade in different places, not because one account is more generous. The IB commission follows the revenue the broker earns on each lot, so the account that charges more also shares more.
Vantage Standard STP Rebate: Wide Spread, Bigger Rebate
Standard STP has no commission, so the broker's whole fee sits inside the spread. The site's broker page and account guide show spreads from about 1.0 to 1.1 pips (the two pages differ by 0.1 pip) and a minimum deposit from 50 USD. With the fee inside the spread, the IB commission per lot is large, and so is your rebate: 11.30 USD per gold lot and 6.12 USD per EURUSD lot.
"From 1.0 pips" is the lowest figure the broker publishes, not an average. Live spreads change by session and widen sharply around news. You should measure them in your own MT5 rather than trust a headline number.
Vantage Raw ECN Rebate: Separate Commission, Smaller Rebate
Raw ECN has a raw spread from 0.0 pips and charges commission separately. According to the Vantage trading fees guide and the broker's help center, commission starts at 3 USD per lot per side, which is roughly 6 USD for one round turn. The spread itself carries very little of the broker's fee, so the IB commission is small and the rebate drops to 1.60 USD per lot.
For the primary source, see the Vantage help center article on the RAW ECN account. To understand the mechanics in more depth, what an ECN account is and what it costs explains how ECN, STP and market maker models differ.
A quick comparison:
| Criterion | Standard STP | Raw ECN |
|---|---|---|
| How it charges | Spread only | Raw spread plus commission |
| Spread stated on site pages | From about 1.0–1.1 pips | From 0.0 pips |
| Commission | 0 | About 6 USD per lot round turn |
| Gold rebate (USD per lot) | 11.30 | 1.60 |
| EURUSD rebate (USD per lot) | 6.12 | 1.60 |

Net Cost After Rebate: Formula And Break-Even Points

Net cost per lot after rebate is the spread plus the commission, minus the rebate. It is the only number that lets you place Standard STP next to Raw ECN fairly.
Net cost per lot = Spread in USD + Round-turn commission − Rebate
For EURUSD, one lot is 100,000 units of currency, so one pip is worth roughly 10 USD, as the guide to what a pip is in forex shows. For gold, one XAUUSD lot is 100 ounces, so every 0.01 USD of spread per ounce equals 1 USD per lot. Open the symbol specification in MT5 to confirm the contract size before you apply this.
EURUSD Example: The Two Accounts Sit Close To Break-Even
The figures below use assumed spreads, not measured Vantage quotes. Standard STP is shown at 1.1 and 1.4 pips, Raw ECN at 0.2 pips, with 6 USD commission and the rebates from the table above.
| Account | Assumed spread | Spread in USD, 10 lots | Commission, 10 lots | Rebate, 10 lots | Net cost, 10 lots |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard STP | 1.1 pips | 110.0 | 0 | 61.2 | 48.8 |
| Standard STP | 1.4 pips | 140.0 | 0 | 61.2 | 78.8 |
| Raw ECN | 0.2 pips | 20.0 | 60.0 | 16.0 | 64.0 |
Reference: calculation as at 5 November 2026. Spreads are illustrative assumptions, so replace them with the spread you read in your own MT5 before drawing conclusions.
This gives the break-even point. Standard STP is cheaper only while its spread is wider than the Raw ECN spread by no more than about 1.05 pips, since (6.12 + 6 − 1.60) divided by 10 equals 1.052. In the table, the 1.1-pip case is about 15 USD cheaper per 10 lots and the 1.4-pip case is about 15 USD more expensive. The two accounts are close to break-even, so the result depends on the spread you actually measure.
Gold Example: Raw ECN Gains Ground When Standard Spreads Run Wide
On gold, the Standard STP rebate rises to 11.30 USD per lot, but the Standard spread is also much wider. The example holds Raw ECN at 0.06 USD per ounce and varies the Standard STP spread.
| Account | Assumed spread (USD per oz) | Spread plus commission, 10 lots | Rebate, 10 lots | Net cost, 10 lots |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard STP | 0.18 | 180 | 113 | 67 |
| Standard STP | 0.22 | 220 | 113 | 107 |
| Standard STP | 0.36 | 360 | 113 | 247 |
| Raw ECN | 0.06 | 60 + 60 = 120 | 16 | 104 |
Reference: calculation as at 5 November 2026. Spreads are illustrative assumptions. Raw ECN commission is taken as 6 USD per lot round turn from the broker's published information and has not been confirmed separately for gold.
The gold break-even sits at 0.157 USD per ounce, from (11.30 + 6 − 1.60) divided by 100. If the Standard STP spread is wider than the Raw ECN spread by less than 0.157 USD per ounce, Standard STP is cheaper, and the reverse otherwise. Gold spreads widen fast on news, so that line is easy to cross exactly when you trade the most.
One conclusion follows from both examples. A bigger rebate does not mean a lower net cost, so you need all three components before comparing.
Is The Vantage Rebate Worth It? Four Trader Scenarios

Whether the Vantage rebate is worth it depends on your volume, your trading style and whether you already hold an account. A rebate cannot turn a losing strategy into a winning one, it only reduces the cost of each lot you have already traded.
To see the scale, take 20 lots a month. On Standard STP, 20 gold lots return 226 USD and 20 EURUSD lots return 122.40 USD. On Raw ECN, 20 lots on any pair return 32 USD. The rebate grows almost in line with lots, so low-volume traders receive little.
Compare four scenarios:
- Scalping with many orders and large volume: Raw ECN commission is a fixed cost per lot while the spread is thin. Test both accounts using real spreads from your own sessions, because the gap compounds quickly.
- Holding trades for several days with few lots: swap is usually larger than the rebate. Standard STP has no commission and is simpler, but decide on overnight cost first and treat the rebate as an extra.
- Small account, just trying the broker: the absolute rebate is small. Choose the account by spread and minimum deposit rather than by the table.
- Already holding a Vantage account: the rebate starts only after the account is moved to the partner IB. If you trade very few lots, the effort may not pay off, while a steadily active account is the opposite.
The common thread: a rebate rewards trading you already do, and it is not a reason to trade more. This article does not encourage raising volume just to collect a rebate.

Conditions To Receive Vantage Rebates And Orders That May Not Count
Rebate eligibility is tied to the IB commission, so the account must sit under the introducing partner before the broker records any commission for it. According to the Vantage page and the rebate guide on the site, the main conditions are:
- A live account linked to the introducing partner, through the sign-up link or an IB transfer.
- Profit or loss does not decide whether you receive a rebate, because it is based on closed lot volume.
- Demo accounts generate no IB commission, so they receive no rebate.
- Cent accounts: the Vantage page says Cent accounts do not receive rebates.
For a new account, you can open a Vantage account through the Standard link and trade as usual. Backcom.io is an independent introducing broker (IB/affiliate) of Vantage; rebates are paid from the commission the broker pays Backcom.io — see the risk disclaimer. For an existing account, the steps are in how to transfer your Vantage IB/partner for rebates, and the broker must approve the change before rebates are recorded.
Before you settle on an account type, check:
- The real spread of the symbol you trade, measured in MT5 during the sessions you usually enter.
- The symbol specification, including contract size and the commission currently applied.
- The legal entity on your agreement, by reading the Client Agreement and then checking the license number in the original register, for example the FCA register or the ASIC lookup tool.
Beyond the rebate, also weigh swap, slippage and execution stability.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Vantage Cashback
Is Vantage Cashback Worth It If I Trade Very Little?
Probably not. Two gold lots a month on Standard STP return only about 22.60 USD, and an older account must also go through an IB transfer. Multiply your own monthly lots by the rebate in the table and decide from that figure.
Standard STP Rebates Are Higher Than Raw ECN, So Is Standard Cheaper?
No. The rebate is higher because the Standard STP spread is wider. In the examples above, EURUSD breaks even when Standard is about 1.05 pips wider than Raw, and gold breaks even at about 0.157 USD per ounce. Replace these with spreads measured in your own MT5.
Does Vantage Raw ECN Pay A Rebate?
Yes. The Vantage broker page lists 1.60 USD per lot on Raw ECN for the forex pairs and gold in the table (BTCUSD is 7.66 USD, the same as Standard STP), effective from 1 October 2026. It is lower than Standard STP because very little of the fee sits inside the Raw ECN spread.
When Are Vantage Rebates Paid, And Is There A Minimum?
The Vantage page says rebates are paid daily, between 02:00 and 04:00 UTC, in USD, with no minimum. It lands in the trading account, and you should confirm this with support. Read this again on the broker page before you trade, because the schedule can change.
Conclusion: Calculate Net Cost First, Treat The Rebate As A Bonus
The Vantage rebate is worth taking when you trade regularly and have picked the right account type, but it should not be the only reason to choose Standard STP or Raw ECN. Look at three things together: the spread you measure, the commission of the account and the rebate per lot.
The steps are: measure the spread in your usual session, put it into the net cost formula, compare it with the break-even points of 1.05 pips on EURUSD and 0.157 USD per ounce on gold, and only then choose.
Once you have chosen, check the current rebate terms on the Vantage page or compare brokers in the rebate comparison table.
