Exness Vs Vantage: Gold Costs, Account Types And Rebates After Fees

Published Updated 12 min read

Exness vs Vantage net gold cost: a balance scale with Exness and Vantage logo coins and a gold bar on the pivot

Most traders pick a broker from a single advertised number, usually a spread "from 0 pips" or a rebate "up to" some dollars per lot. Each figure shows only half of the cost. An Exness vs Vantage comparison only means something once you add spread and commission, then subtract the rebate for the exact account you would use.

This guide puts Vantage vs Exness gold costs on one formula, because gold has the largest cost per lot of the common products. In this article, Backcom.io walks through:

  • Legal entities and licenses you should read before depositing at either broker.
  • Account types at Exness and Vantage, matched by how they charge rather than by name.
  • Exness Vantage spread and commission for gold after rebates, with a 10-lot example and break-even spreads.
  • Exness Vantage rebate differences in calculation, payout schedule and conditions.
  • Exness or Vantage by trading style, without ranking either broker on numbers that were not measured under the same conditions.

Exness Vs Vantage At A Glance

Exness and Vantage are long-running forex and CFD brokers that support MT4 and MT5 and offer raw-spread accounts with commission. The biggest difference is how each broker calculates the rebate and how it groups its accounts, not what the accounts are called.

Legal Entities And Licenses: Which Company Do You Contract With?

Exness vs Vantage legal entities and licenses: office building with regulator, client agreement, register check and entity by country
Legal Entities And Licenses: Which Company Do You Contract With?

A broker license belongs to a specific legal entity, not to the brand name in the advertising. Exness and Vantage both operate through several entities in several countries, so your account belongs to only one of them.

For Vantage, the Vantage review lists, as checked in August 2026:

  1. Vantage Global Prime Pty Ltd: ASIC, AFSL 428901.
  2. Vantage Global Prime LLP: FCA, FRN 590299.
  3. Vantage Markets (Pty) Ltd: FSCA in South Africa, FSP 51268.
  4. Vantage International Group Limited: CIMA in the Cayman Islands, SIBL 1383491.
  5. Vantage Global Limited: VFSC in Vanuatu, registration number 700271.

That review warns that an international account may be opened with Vantage Global Limited rather than an FCA or ASIC entity, so you should not assume FCA protection just because the group owns an FCA-licensed company.

For Exness, the Exness review names entities under the FCA, CySEC, FSA Seychelles, FSCA and CMA Kenya. The entity that signs with clients from each country was not verified for either broker in this article, so it does not claim which one protects you better.

Before depositing at any broker, you should:

  • Read the entity name in the Client Agreement at sign-up, not the regulator logo in the footer.
  • Check the license number on the original register, for example the FCA register or the ASIC register search.
  • Note the governing law of the contract and where disputes are settled.

Read the full checklist in the guide to 7 criteria for a reputable forex broker, and the lookup steps for each regulator in how to check a forex broker license. Rules also differ by country of residence, so check the accepted and restricted countries list for your KYC country.

Exness And Vantage Account Types: Matched By How They Charge

Exness and Vantage account types matched by how they charge: spread only versus spread plus commission
Exness And Vantage Account Types: Matched By How They Charge

Account names differ between the two brokers, so match them by how they charge: spread only, or spread plus commission. This avoids comparing a no-commission account with a raw one.

Reference: broker page details as at 5 November 2026. Account details can change, so check them again before depositing.

Two points cause the most confusion. First, "from 0 pips" is the lowest figure the broker publishes, not an average spread, and gold spreads widen sharply around news. Second, the Vantage page says Cent accounts earn no rebate and also lists Cent as eligible, so ask before using one. The Vantage trading fees article also mentions a Pro ECN account, but the broker page does not list it, so it is left out of the calculation.

For more detail on each account, see the Exness account types and Vantage account types guides.

Exness Vantage Spread And Gold Costs: Net Cost Formula After Rebates

Exness Vantage gold spread cost: net cost formula, spread times 100 plus commission minus rebate
Exness Vantage Spread And Gold Costs: Net Cost Formula After Rebates

The net cost of one gold lot is spread plus commission, minus the rebate. One lot of XAUUSD is 100 ounces, so every 0.01 USD of spread per ounce equals 1 USD per lot.

Net cost per lot = Spread × 100 + Round-turn commission − Rebate

A raw account charges commission, while a no-commission account usually has a larger rebate because its spread is wider.

Rebate Per Lot At Exness And Vantage

The two brokers pay rebates differently in nature. Exness updates its rebate with the current spread, so the table below is only right at the time of reading: Standard is about 40% of the spread, Pro about 25%, and Raw and Zero are fixed. Vantage uses a table by account type effective 1 October 2026, and its page says the amounts can move with the real spread.

Reference: rebates on the broker pages as at 5 November 2026 (Vantage updated 24 October 2026). Rebates can change, so check them again before trading.

Vantage also has a High Rebate link that shows 18.00 USD per lot on gold and a spread of 32–36. It comes with a higher spread than the regular link, and the 32–36 figure could not be converted to USD per ounce, so the link is left out of the comparison.

Worked Example For 10 Lots Of Gold And Break-Even Spread

The example uses the same assumed spread for each pair of comparable accounts, so it isolates commission and rebate. These are not measured spreads, because there is no pair of gold spreads recorded at the same moment on both brokers. Vantage Raw ECN uses 6 USD per lot round turn from the broker page, which the Vantage fees article does not confirm for gold specifically. Exness Raw uses the 3.50 USD per side cap, or 7 USD round turn. The Exness Standard rebate is 40% of the spread, and Vantage Standard STP uses 11.30 USD per lot.

Account pairAssumed spread (USD/oz)Spread + commission, 10 lotsRebate, 10 lotsNet cost, 10 lots
Exness Standard0.36360≈ 144≈ 216
Vantage Standard STP0.36360113247
Exness Raw0.0660 + 70 = 13030100
Vantage Raw ECN0.0660 + 60 = 12016104

Reference: calculation as at 5 November 2026. Spreads are assumptions for illustration, not measurements; replace them with the spread you read on your own MT5 before drawing conclusions.

At equal spreads, Exness Standard is about 31 USD cheaper than Vantage Standard STP per 10 lots, and Exness Raw is 4 USD cheaper than Vantage Raw ECN.

That gives the break-even spread, on the same assumptions:

  • Standard pair: at equal spreads, Exness is cheaper once the spread is above about 0.283 USD/oz, because the Standard rebate rises with spread while Vantage's 11.30 USD stays flat. Below that level, Vantage Standard STP is cheaper.
  • Also for the Standard pair, if Vantage measures 0.36 USD/oz, Exness breaks even at about 0.412 USD/oz, roughly 0.052 wider.
  • Raw pair: both are fixed, so Exness breaks even if its spread is no more than 0.004 USD/oz above Vantage.

The what is forex spread guide explains what widens it.

Which Trades May Not Earn A Rebate

A rebate is paid out of IB commission, so a few conditions stop it from applying:

  • Demo accounts do not earn a rebate.
  • Existing accounts that have not moved their IB to the referring partner earn nothing. The Vantage steps are in how to transfer a Vantage IB for rebates, and Exness needs broker approval, then an email confirmation within 24–48 hours according to its page.

Beyond spread and rebate, costs include swap and other fees. Exness does not currently charge an inactivity fee according to the Exness trading fees article, while the Vantage fees article does not mention one, so read the Client Agreement. Vantage Swap-Free accounts may carry an administration fee that the article does not quantify.

Exness Vantage Rebate: Rates, Payout Schedule And Conditions

Exness Vantage rebate timeline: pick the link, trade lots, rebate paid, check conditions
Exness Vantage Rebate: Rates, Payout Schedule And Conditions

An Exness Vantage rebate is money returned from the IB commission the broker pays to the referring partner. It is passed to you at the rate shown on the broker page.

Two differences deserve attention, in how the rate moves and in which link you pick:

  1. Exness has a floating rebate: today's figure may not be next week's, because the table follows the current spread. The page says "up to 14.4 USD per lot" for Standard gold, which is a ceiling, not a fixed rate. It is paid daily to the trading account as cash, not as a bonus.
  2. Vantage has a table by account type and by link: the regular link pays 11.30 USD per lot on Standard STP gold, while the High Rebate link pays 18.00 USD per lot but comes with a higher spread than the regular link. Both need the right link, and a rebate lowers cost without turning a losing strategy profitable.

The general formula for both brokers:

Rebate = Lots × Rebate per lot for the exact account and product

For example, 10 lots of gold on Exness Standard earn 96–144 USD depending on spread on the 5 November 2026 table (at the spread when it was read, since the Standard rebate moves with spread), while 10 lots on Vantage Standard STP earn 113 USD. For a step-by-step check, see the Vantage rebate calculation guide.

Choosing Between Exness Or Vantage By Trading Style

There is no single answer to Exness or Vantage, because the result depends on your trading style, hours and volume. This guide does not rank the two brokers without spreads measured under the same conditions, so the table below only suggests what to measure.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Exness Vs Vantage

Vantage Vs Exness Gold Costs: Which Broker Is Lower?

Neither is lower in every condition. In the example with equal assumed spreads, Exness Standard is about 31 USD cheaper than Vantage Standard STP per 10 lots at a 0.36 USD gold spread, and the Raw pair differs by 4 USD in favor of Exness Raw. Below roughly 0.283 USD, Vantage Standard STP becomes cheaper, because the Exness Standard rebate shrinks with the spread.

Are Exness And Vantage Rebates Fixed?

Not entirely. Exness updates its rebate with the current spread, shown as estimates. Vantage uses a table effective 1 October 2026, but its page also says amounts can move with the real spread. Read the table on the broker page just before you open an account.

Are The Raw Accounts At Both Brokers The Same?

No. Both start from 0 pips and charge commission, but the commission differs. Vantage Raw ECN charges 6 USD per lot round turn, while Exness Raw charges up to 3.50 USD per lot per side and Exness Zero from 0.05 USD. The minimum deposit also differs: 50 USD at Vantage and 1,000 USD at Exness.

Conclusion: Compare Net Cost Per Account Pair Before Choosing A Broker

An Exness vs Vantage comparison is only accurate when you weigh three things together: the legal entity you contract with, how each account type charges and the rebate for that exact account. A single advertised figure, such as a spread from 0 pips or a rebate up to 14.4 USD, is not enough to decide.

What to do next: match accounts by how they charge, measure the real gold spread on MT5, put it into the net cost formula and compare it with the break-even spreads in this guide.

Once you have a pair of accounts, you can check the current rebate terms on the Exness page or the Vantage page. Backcom.io is an independent introducing broker (IB/affiliate) of these brokers; rebates are paid from the commission the broker pays Backcom.io, see the risk disclaimer.
