A Vantage rebate lets traders claim back part of the costs they incur while trading, based on eligible volume. The rate is not fixed across every trade — it depends on the account type, the instrument and the rebate partner’s policy.

At Backcom.io, the published rate currently reaches $11.3 per lot and is updated on a daily cycle.

To work out what you can receive, you need to understand three things:

  • The rate that applies to the account and instrument you trade.
  • How the Vantage rebate is calculated from eligible lots.
  • The recording and payout timing once your trades are reconciled.

What is a Vantage rebate?

A Vantage rebate is money returned to you based on your trading volume at Vantage. It comes from the commission Vantage pays its IB partner, part of which is then shared back with the trader.

Put simply:

Trader places a trade → Vantage pays commission to the IB → the IB returns part of it to the trader.

The amount is normally calculated from eligible lots traded and the rate applying to each account type and instrument. Whether a trade wins or loses does not usually affect eligibility, as long as it meets the recording conditions.

Where does the money come from?

The money comes mainly from the commission Vantage pays its IB partner when a referred client trades. The partner then shares part of that commission back with the trader as a rebate.

In short:

Vantage pays commission to the IB → the IB shares part of it with the trader.

That refund reduces part of your real trading costs.

Do winning and losing trades both qualify?

Yes. Profit or loss is not what determines whether you receive a Vantage rebate.

As long as the trade:

  • Was placed on an account correctly linked to the partner.
  • Meets the programme’s recording conditions.
  • Carries eligible trading volume.

So winning and losing trades alike can qualify, provided all the conditions are met.

How is the Vantage rebate rate set?

The rate is not fixed across every trade — it depends on your account type, the instrument traded and your lot volume.

Each instrument normally carries its own rate in USD per lot. The more eligible lots you trade, the higher your total rebate.

So check the exact account and symbol before working out what you expect to receive.

Rates differ by account type and instrument

The same instrument can pay a different rate depending on which account type you trade it on.

For example:

  • XAU/USD on a Standard account can pay a different rate than on RAW.
  • EUR/USD pays a different rate than GBP/USD or USD/JPY.
  • Crypto CFDs have their own structure compared with forex and gold.

So don’t apply one blanket rate to everything you trade. The accurate approach is to check the symbol + account type + rate per lot currently in force.

How to calculate your Vantage rebate

Working out your rebate is straightforward once you know the rate applying to your instrument and account type.

The amount is based on:

  • Eligible trading volume.
  • The rate per lot.
  • The corresponding instrument and account type.

The formula per lot

The basic formula:

Rebate = Eligible lots traded × Rate per lot

For example, if you trade 5 lots at a rate of $6 per lot:

5 × $6 = $30

So the expected rebate is $30.

Note that these figures only illustrate the method. Your real amount depends on the rate in force and the volume the system records.

When do you receive your Vantage rebate?

Your rebate is not credited the moment you close a trade. Vantage needs time to record the trade and reconcile the commission with its partner.

The usual sequence:

  1. The trader closes the position.
  2. Vantage records the eligible volume.
  3. The commission is reconciled with the partner.
  4. Backcom.io updates the rebate for the trader.

Recording and reconciliation timing

How quickly this updates can vary with when you closed the trade and where you are in the reconciliation cycle.

Your rebate may update more slowly if:

  • The position closed near the end of the day.
  • The trade has not finished reconciliation.
  • It is a holiday or the system is processing slowly.
  • The data from Vantage has not fully come through.

So wait for the reconciliation period to finish before checking or raising a support request.

How the rebate is paid out

At Backcom.io, rebates are consolidated from eligible trades and updated according to the system’s payout cycle.

You can check:

  • The trading volume recorded.
  • The rate applied.
  • The total rebate received.
  • Your payment history.

If the reconciliation period has passed and nothing has appeared, first check that your Vantage account is still correctly linked to Backcom.io.

How to get your Vantage rebate through Backcom.io

To receive a Vantage rebate through Backcom.io, your trading account has to be correctly linked to the Backcom.io partner system.

There are two main cases:

  1. Register a new Vantage account through Backcom.io.
  2. Already hold a Vantage account and transfer the partner, if eligible.

Opening a new Vantage account through Backcom.io

If you don’t have a Vantage account yet:

  1. Go to the Vantage page on Backcom.io.
  2. Register through the referral link.
  3. Complete account verification.
  4. Open a suitable trading account.
  5. Start trading and earn rebates on eligible volume.

Register through the correct link from the start, so you don’t end up trading on an account that was never recorded under the Backcom.io partner.

Already have a Vantage account?

If you hold a Vantage account that is not linked to Backcom.io, check whether you can transfer your Vantage IB/partner.

The basic process:

  • Check whether the account qualifies for a partner transfer.
  • Submit the IB transfer request as instructed.
  • Wait for Vantage to confirm the new link.
  • Only start counting rebates once the account is successfully recorded.

Don’t assume trades placed before the link was completed will be counted.

For a detailed walkthrough of transferring your Vantage IB/partner, watch the Backcom Vietnam video guide below:

Check the link and track your rebates

After registering or transferring your partner, verify:

  • That the Vantage account is correctly linked to Backcom.io.
  • Which account type you are trading on.
  • The symbol and its corresponding rate.
  • The volume already recorded.
  • The total rebate updated so far.

Checking early avoids the situation where you trade heavily and only then discover the account was never recorded under the right partner.

Does receiving a Vantage rebate affect your trading?

Fundamentally, a rebate is money refunded after an eligible trade has been recorded. It does not directly change how you place orders, your profit and loss, or your trading strategy.

Does receiving a Vantage rebate affect your trading?

Does a rebate widen your spread or commission?

Don’t assume that receiving a rebate automatically raises your spread or commission.

Your trading costs still depend on:

  • The account type you use.
  • The instrument traded.
  • Market conditions.
  • The Vantage fee policy at any given time.

A rebate simply offsets part of the costs you have already incurred, lowering your real trading cost.

Should you trade bigger just to earn more rebate?

No. A rebate is there to reduce costs, not to justify taking on more risk.

Prioritise:

  • Sound money management.
  • Position sizes suited to your account.
  • Trading to your strategy.
  • Treating the rebate as a bonus on top.

Raising your lot size purely to collect more rebate can expose you to far more risk than the rebate is worth.

Summary

A Vantage rebate returns part of your trading costs based on eligible volume. What you actually receive depends on the account type, the instrument, your lot volume and the rate in force.

For rebates to arrive consistently:

  • Link the right Vantage account to the partner.
  • Check the rate before you trade.
  • Track your volume and rebate history.
  • Never take on more risk just to earn more.

If you trade regularly, the accumulated rebates can cut your total costs noticeably over the long run.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

How is a Vantage rebate calculated?

The basic calculation is:

Rebate = Eligible lots × Rate per lot

The actual rate varies by account and instrument.

Do losing trades earn a Vantage rebate?

They can. Eligibility depends mainly on whether the trade meets the recording conditions, not entirely on whether it ended in profit or loss.

How long until my rebate is updated?

The trade first has to be recorded and reconciled. Timing can vary with the processing cycle and when you closed the position.

Why has my trade produced no rebate?

Some common reasons:

  • The account is not linked to the correct partner.
  • The trade has not finished reconciliation.
  • The volume has not been recorded by the system.
  • The rate for that instrument has not been updated.

Check your account status and trading history before contacting support.

Does a Vantage rebate widen my spread?

Don’t assume receiving a rebate automatically widens the spread. Spread and commission still depend on your account type, the instrument and market conditions.

Do I need to trade a lot of volume to earn rebates?

Not necessarily. Trade to your strategy and within your money management. A rebate should be seen as a way to reduce costs, not a reason to increase your trading volume.
