A full breakdown of Exness trading fees: spread, commission and swap across all five account types, how to work out your net cost, and how cashback cuts it.

When you trade with Exness, the Exness trading fees that matter are the spread, the commission and the overnight swap. They are not the same across the Exness account types: Standard, Standard Cent and Pro charge no commission, while Raw Spread and Zero trade a lower spread for a commission charged per lot.

Understanding each of the Exness trading fees helps you pick the right account, work out your real cost, and avoid the trap of seeing a 0-pip spread while the total cost of the trade turns out higher than you expected.

What Do Exness Trading Fees Consist Of?

The cost of trading on Exness breaks down into three groups:

  1. Spread: the gap between the Bid and the Ask price.
  2. Commission: a charge based on traded volume, on certain accounts.
  3. Swap: the charge or credit for holding a position overnight.
The three main groups of Exness trading fees: spread, commission and swap

What the Spread Is, and Why It Matters

The spread is the difference between the buy price and the sell price of an instrument.

For example:

  • EURUSD Bid: 1.10000
  • EURUSD Ask: 1.10010
  • Spread: 1 pip

On 1 lot of EURUSD, 1 pip is normally worth around $10, so a 1-pip spread costs you roughly $10 to enter the trade.

Exness spreads are mostly floating, so they can move with:

  • Market liquidity.
  • The trading session.
  • Major economic releases.
  • The market open and close.
  • The instrument being traded.

Exness also notes that spreads can widen considerably during volatile periods or when liquidity is thin.

When Is Commission Charged?

Exness commission applies mainly on two accounts:

  • Raw Spread: up to $3.5/lot/side.
  • Zero: from $0.02/lot/side, depending on the instrument.

Meanwhile:

  • Standard: no commission.
  • Standard Cent: no commission.
  • Pro: no commission.

“Per side” means the charge applies separately to opening and to closing the position.

On Raw Spread, for an instrument charged at $3.5/lot/side:

1 lot × $3.5 × 2 sides = $7 commission for a full round turn.

Overnight Swap, and When It Is Waived

Swap is charged when a position is held through the broker’s rollover time.

Exness, however, operates a swap-free mechanism. According to Exness, all accounts carry swap-free status by default, but that status is assessed against your trading behaviour and can change if you routinely hold large volume overnight.

You can check your own status directly at:

Personal Area → Exness Benefits → Trading Conditions → Swap-free status.

Exness Trading Fees Compared Across All 5 Account Types

On the current official list, Exness offers five main account types — Standard Cent, Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero — and the Exness trading fees differ on each one.

Standard and Standard Cent — Commission-Free General Accounts

Standard is the most widely used Exness account:

  • Spread from 0.2 pip.
  • No commission.
  • Market execution.
  • Covers forex, metals, crypto, energies, stocks and indices.

Standard Cent suits beginners better, because it trades in cent lots:

  • Spread from 0.3 pip.
  • No commission.
  • 1 cent lot equals 0.01 standard lot.
  • Lets you test a strategy with a smaller amount of capital.

Standard Plus — the Upgraded Version of Standard

Some Exness technical documentation still mentions Standard Plus in the section on execution types, but Standard Plus is not on the list of five main accounts Exness publishes on its Trading Account Types page.

So if Standard Plus appears in your Exness account, check it directly at:

Personal Area → My Accounts → Contract Specifications

to read the actual spread, commission and conditions, rather than assuming the Standard figures apply.

Pro — the Balanced Account for Experienced Traders

Pro suits traders who want a tight spread without a separate commission to calculate:

  • Spread from 0.1 pip.
  • No commission.
  • Mainly uses Instant Execution.
  • Swap-free available.

The strength of Pro is that the cost is easy to work out:

Trading cost ≈ spread

That makes it the balanced choice between Standard and the Raw/Zero pair.

Raw Spread — the Tightest Spread, With a Fixed Commission

Raw Spread is built around a tight spread:

  • Spread from 0.0 pip.
  • Market Execution.
  • Commission up to $3.5/lot/side.
  • A full open-and-close round turn costs up to about $7/lot in commission, depending on the instrument.

Raw Spread normally suits traders who place a lot of orders, scalp, or run EAs.

Zero — 0.0 Pip Spread and the Lowest Commission

Zero offers:

  • Spread from 0.0 pip.
  • Commission from $0.02/lot/side, depending on the instrument.
  • Market Execution.

Exness states that its 30 most-traded instruments can hold a zero spread for around 95% of trading time, but the spread can still rise during heavy volatility.

So the Zero account should not be read as “always 0 spread”.

Exness Spreads in Detail, Account by Account

Spreads on Pro, Raw Spread and Zero

The Professional group carries tighter spreads:

  • Pro: from 0.1 pip.
  • Raw Spread: from 0.0 pip.
  • Zero: from 0.0 pip.

Don’t judge on the spread alone, though.

What you need is:

Total cost = spread + commission + swap – rebate

That is the figure that reflects what the Exness trading fees actually cost you on a given trade.

What Moves the Spread You Actually Get

The spread can change considerably:

  1. Before and after CPI, Nonfarm and FOMC releases.
  2. When market liquidity thins out.
  3. At rollover.
  4. Just after a session opens or before it closes.
  5. On instruments with low liquidity.

Exness likewise warns that spreads can widen during volatility, economic news and thin liquidity.

So “spread from 0 pip” is a floor, not a fixed spread.

Exness Commission — How to Calculate It, With Worked Examples

Raw Spread Commission: $3.5/Lot/Side

The formula:

Commission = lots × commission per lot per side × 2

Take 1 lot on an instrument charged at $3.5 per side:

  • Opening: $3.5.
  • Closing: $3.5.
  • Total commission: $7.

If the spread at entry is worth about $1:

Total cost ≈ $1 + $7 = $8

This is an illustration only; check the actual spread and commission per instrument. Exness publishes Raw Spread commission as up to $3.5 per side per lot.

Zero Commission: From $0.02/Lot/Side, Varying by Instrument

There is no single commission rate that applies across the whole Zero account.

What Exness currently publishes is:

Zero commission from $0.02/lot/side.

The actual rate depends on:

  • The forex pair.
  • Metals.
  • Crypto.
  • Indices.
  • The specific instrument you are trading.

Figures such as $0.16 or $0.2/lot/side can therefore only be right for certain instruments at a certain moment. Don’t treat them as the default for the whole Zero account.

Total Commission Cost: Raw Spread vs Zero

The general formula:

Raw Spread

Net cost = spread + (Raw commission × 2)

Zero

Net cost = spread + (Zero commission × 2)

You cannot conclude that Zero is always cheaper than Raw Spread simply because its spread is zero.

Instead:

  1. Pick the exact instrument you intend to trade.
  2. Check the current spread.
  3. Check that instrument’s commission.
  4. Work out the total cost of one open-and-close round turn.
  5. Only then compare Raw Spread against Zero.

Exness Overnight Swap — Free or Charged?

The instrument groups that can be exempt from overnight swap at Exness

The list can change, so the most reliable check is:

Personal Area → Trading → Contract Specifications

Official source: Exness – Swap-free Status

How Swap Is Calculated When It Applies (Formula and Example)

Exness uses this formula:

Swap = swap long/short × number of nights × pip value

Where:

Pip value = lots × contract size × pip size

A worked example:

  • 1 lot of EURUSD.
  • Pip value = $10.
  • Swap = -0.5 pip.
  • Held for one night.

The swap:

-0.5 × $10 = -$5

If the position runs through a triple-swap day, the number of chargeable nights rises accordingly.

Triple Swap Days and How to Avoid Them

Triple swap exists to cover the weekend settlement.

According to Exness:

  • Most forex pairs: triple swap on the Wednesday rollover.
  • USDCAD: can apply on Thursday.
  • Indices: usually triple swap on Friday.
  • Stocks: usually triple swap on Friday.
  • Energies: no triple swap.

So it is wrong to call this “triple swap on the last Wednesday of the month”.

If your account is not swap-free, check the schedule before holding a position through rollover as a swing trader.

Cutting Your Exness Trading Fees With Backcom Cashback

Beyond picking an account with the right spread and commission, you can lower your net cost — what the Exness trading fees actually leave you paying — through the Exness cashback programme.

Backcom.io currently returns 100% of the IB commission Backcom receives from Exness on eligible accounts. The actual USD per lot depends on the instrument, the account and the spread at the time of the trade.

Figures are pulled directly from Exness via API. Actual commission is based on the spread at order entry and may vary. This tool is for reference only and does not replace the broker's official reports.

Backcom states that the tool’s data comes from the Exness API; the actual rebate still depends on the spread and on your order data.

Net Cost After the Backcom Rebate

The simple formula:

Net cost = spread + commission + swap – rebate

Here is the example Backcom publishes for XAUUSD on Standard:

  • Assumed spread cost: $24/lot.
  • Partner commission, equal to 40% of the spread: $9.6.
  • Backcom returns that amount to the trader.
  • The net cost then works out at roughly:

$24 – $9.6 = $14.4/lot

That is roughly a 40% reduction in this example. The rebate is not fixed, because the spread moves continuously.

One distinction to keep clear:

“Backcom 100%” does not mean you get 100% of the spread back.

It means Backcom returns 100% of the IB commission Backcom receives from Exness.

The video below explains how Backcom Exness works:

Summary

Exness trading fees depend directly on the account type and the instrument you choose:

  • Standard Cent: spread from 0.3 pip, no commission.
  • Standard: spread from 0.2 pip, no commission.
  • Pro: spread from 0.1 pip, no commission.
  • Raw Spread: spread from 0 pip, commission up to $3.5/lot/side.
  • Zero: spread from 0 pip, commission from $0.02/lot/side.

Don’t compare spreads alone. Work out:

Total cost = spread + commission + swap – rebate

If you trade frequently or in size, the rebate you accumulate can cut your real Exness trading fees considerably.
