FundingPips, Maven, The5ers and Alpha Capital figures come from secondary sources and were not independently confirmed on official pages. Rules can change quickly; verify the exact package before buying or requesting a payout.

Backcom.io shows the verification status because a different payout route or account variant can reverse the answer. If you want an account without a consistency rule, distinguish these cases:

FTMO 2-Step and FundedNext Stellar Instant have no such rule, according to official materials.

FundedNext Futures Rapid Daily has none at either stage; Legacy and Flex have none after funding, according to official materials.

The5ers’ main programmes reportedly have none, based on secondary sources.

Standard Maven 1-, 2- and 3-Step product summaries compiled by secondary sources do not show this rule.

For further context, read the E8 Markets review and Maven Trading review, then confirm the current terms of the package you want.

What Happens If You Exceed The Consistency Rule? Payouts Can Wait

Exceeding the consistency rule is not automatically an account-ending breach under the published FTMO, FundedNext and E8 terms discussed here. You may need more qualifying profit, but daily loss and drawdown limits still apply while you trade.

At these firms, a score above the limit does not by itself close the account. Keep trading until you meet the relevant pass or payout condition. Intentionally splitting one winning position to get around the Best Day Rule may be treated as circumvention.

E8’s 35% Best Day Rule example has four daily results: +$1,100, +$1,500, +$900 and −$400. Net profit is $3,100, so the $1,500 best day exceeds the permitted 35%. If that day remains the highest, total profit must reach about $4,286 ($1,500 ÷ 0.35) before a payout request.

E8 adds two details that matter when planning the next cycle:

Split positions: It may consolidate profits from partial closes or positions expressing the same trade idea into one day when assessing attempts to bypass the rule.

After a payout: E8 resets “Current Best Day” and “Current Performance”. Work through four checks:

Confirm the applicable terms: Identify the exact package, stage, payout method and denominator on the firm’s site. For FTMO 1-Step, check whether the order predates 12 October 2026 at 09:00 platform time.

Spread the target across days: With profitable days of equal size, a 40% ceiling requires at least three days; a 30% ceiling requires at least four.

Calculate before requesting: Compare current profit with the minimum required total. Recheck after every new profitable day, because it could become the new best day.

Watch the score after losses: When the denominator is net total profit, a losing day can push the percentage higher even if the best day stays unchanged.

A “day” follows the firm’s clock. FTMO defines its day boundary as 00:00 CE(S)T, equivalent to 22:00 UTC during European summer time or 23:00 UTC during European winter time. Use the account’s displayed boundary when recording daily results. The prop firm risk management guide covers daily limits before adding trades to improve a score.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Prop Firm Consistency Rules

Does Failing A Consistency Rule Close Your Account?

No, not automatically under the FTMO, FundedNext and E8 guidance checked on 16 October 2026. You generally keep trading until the result qualifies for a pass or payout, while all loss limits remain in force. On FundedNext Futures Legacy and Flex challenges, a best day above 40% of the original profit target instead recalculates the profit target.

Does FTMO Have A Consistency Rule?

Yes, for FTMO 1-Step: 50% in the Challenge and funded stage. FTMO 2-Step has none. New 1-Step orders from 09:00 on 12 October 2026, platform time use total profit, including losing days, under the renamed Consistency Rule. Earlier orders retain the Best Day Rule and its Positive Days’ Profit denominator.

How Do You Calculate Consistency Rule After A Losing Day?

Check the denominator first. Under a net-total-profit formula, the loss reduces total profit, so an unchanged best day becomes a larger percentage. Under FTMO’s older 1-Step Best Day Rule, only profitable days enter Positive Days’ Profit. The same trading history can therefore produce a different score under the two methods.

Which Prop Firms Have No Consistency Rule?

As confirmed in official material checked on 16 October 2026, FTMO 2-Step, FundedNext Stellar Instant and FundedNext Futures Rapid Daily have none. FundedNext Futures Legacy and Flex also have none after funding. Secondary sources say The5ers does not apply one to its main programmes; check its current package terms before relying on that claim.

Which Accounts Use The FundedNext Consistency Rule?

For CFDs, Stellar 2-Step and Stellar Lite apply 40% only to On-Demand payouts; Stellar Instant has no consistency test. In Futures challenges, Legacy and Flex compare the best day with 40% of the profit target. Once funded, Rapid Pro uses 40%, Direct uses a perpetual 20%, and Rapid Daily and Legacy/Flex have no consistency rule.

Conclusion: Calculate The Required Total Before Requesting A Payout

Understanding the prop firm consistency rule helps you tell the difference between a large winning day and an account-ending violation. Confirm the current terms, distribute your target across trading days and calculate the total profit needed from your best day before requesting a payout.

Check payout schedules and profit splits separately before making a withdrawal request.

Disclaimer: Backcom.io compiled this article from official FTMO, FundedNext and E8 help pages and clearly marked secondary sources.
