You pay a challenge fee, trade against a profit target and loss limits, and if you meet the requirements you may receive a share of the reward under the programme’s terms. Read the contract carefully: in this model many accounts and results are simulated, which is not the same as being handed cash to manage. FTMO itself describes its service as simulated trading and an educational tool.

Five Criteria For Choosing A Reputable Prop Firm

Whether it accepts Vietnamese residents: read the eligibility page and the restricted-countries clause. Check the requirement on residence, not just nationality.

Clear loss rules: separate the daily loss limit from the overall loss limit; see whether the loss is measured against balance or equity, and whether the threshold moves with your profit.

A cost you can actually calculate: note the challenge fee, refund conditions, profit split, withdrawal fees and currency conversion. A high split does not automatically mean a high amount in hand.

Trading conditions that suit you: check the rules on EAs, copy trading, news trading, holding overnight and over the weekend. A strategy allowed during the evaluation may not be allowed on the funded stage.

A transparent payout record and process: read the payout terms, review times, the complaints process and reviews that describe something specific. Do not rely on a review score alone as a guarantee the firm will pay.

Firm

Status for Vietnamese residents per official sources

Conclusion for this list

FTMO

Vietnam is not on the restricted list published in the CFD FAQ

Worth considering; re-confirm when you register

The5ers

Vietnam is not in the Forbidden Territories list in the terms

Worth considering; re-confirm when you register

FundingTraders

Vietnam is not on the restricted list currently shown in the Help Center

Worth considering; note the information has changed before

Eightcap Challenges

The full country list could not be confirmed from the official page

Not enough basis to recommend buying

Hola Prime

The eligibility FAQ lists Vietnam

Not suitable for Vietnamese residents

FundingPips

The Help Center states it does not accept Vietnamese residents

Not suitable for Vietnamese residents

FundedNext

The Help Center lists Vietnam among countries barred from the service

Not suitable for Vietnamese residents

How to read this table: “not on the restricted list” is not a commitment to accept every application. Check Before You Pay

The question of which prop firms accept Vietnamese traders has to be answered from the firm’s own terms. Reaching the checkout screen, or seeing “Vietnam” in a dropdown, is not a substitute for confirmation about KYC and withdrawals.

Do not use a VPN or someone else’s address to get around a restriction. FTMO: Clear Eligibility Terms, A Sensible Place To Start Comparing

FTMO is a reasonable starting point when you are looking for a reputable prop firm: the FAQ publishes a restricted-country list and does not currently name Vietnam. The Trading Objectives page sets out the targets, loss limits and conditions for each challenge separately, so pick the right programme and then read that programme’s rules rather than applying one set of numbers to every account.

Suits: traders who want to check the rules before paying and have a plan that respects the loss limits. What to verify: the price of the exact account size, the refund policy, and the news and holding conditions on the account type you intend to buy.

2. The5ers: Several Routes, So Pick The Right Programme

The5ers’ terms do not currently name Vietnam among forbidden territories, but they use the wording “including but not limited to”. Ask for separate confirmation about residence and KYC before you buy.

What matters here is the specific programme. High Stakes is a two-stage evaluation; take the target, drawdown, split and payout schedule from the table that applies to your exact account size on the High Stakes page. If you plan to run an EA, cross-check the prohibited trading behaviours too.

Suits: traders who want to pick a route by fee and risk limit. What to verify: the total you will pay, the refund rules, and what actually lands in your account after every payout fee.

3. FundingTraders: Worth Considering, But Confirm Vietnam’s Status

The FundingTraders Help Center does not currently list Vietnam among its five restricted countries. The same page also describes how existing users are handled if a country later becomes restricted.

That said, cached versions indexed by search engines still mention Vietnam. This is a case where you should ask support to confirm opening a new account, completing KYC and withdrawing a payout in a single answer before choosing a challenge.

Suits: traders willing to spend time verifying the terms first. What to verify: a direct answer from the firm, and the terms attached to a newly purchased account.

4. Eightcap Challenges: Eligibility Still To Be Verified

Eightcap has a Challenges page listing the account options, entry fees from USD 69 and a profit split of up to 90%. Those are the programme’s headline figures, not the terms that apply to every package.

The Challenges page has a restricted-countries section, but this round of checking could not fully confirm the status of Vietnamese residents. Eightcap Challenges therefore does not go in the “can buy now” group. Before considering it, request the current terms page and written confirmation about KYC and payouts for Vietnam.

5. Hola Prime: The FAQ Currently Lists Vietnam As Restricted

Hola Prime runs forex programmes with attractive payout marketing, but its eligibility FAQ currently names Vietnam among restricted countries. A trader resident in Vietnam should therefore not treat this firm’s profit split as a reason to buy a challenge.

If you come across older information saying the CFD programme still accepts Vietnam, give priority to the current terms and ask support directly. Rules can also differ between the forex and futures products, and between legal entities.

6. FundingPips: The Help Center States It Does Not Accept Vietnamese Residents

The FundingPips getting-started guide puts Vietnam under “Restricted Countries” and answers plainly that the firm does not accept traders resident in Vietnam. That is enough to remove FundingPips from the list of prop firms that accept Vietnamese traders as of this update.

This case shows why international ranking articles are not reliable here: a programme can look attractive on price while the country condition decides whether you can take part at all.

7. FundedNext: The Help Center Lists Vietnam As Restricted

According to FundedNext’s Help Center page on restricted countries, residents and citizens of Vietnam are among those barred from using the trading platform, alongside Bangladesh, Myanmar, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and several others. The same page states that accounts will be terminated if someone from a restricted country is found using the service, including via a VPN or another person’s identity. A trader resident in Vietnam should therefore not buy a FundedNext challenge.

If this prop firm changes its policy, only update the assessment after re-checking the current FAQ and getting confirmation on both KYC and payouts. The seven entries above are seven firms that were reviewed, not seven recommendations.

Five Steps Before You Buy A Prop Firm Challenge

Five things to do before you pay a challenge fee.

Buying a prop firm challenge is a decision about cost and discipline. If you cannot hold a steady risk level on your own account, test the strategy and keep a trading journal before paying another challenge fee.

Risks And Warning Signs To Avoid

Four common risks: failing the challenge, KYC rejection, breaching a rule, and a payout dispute.

The challenge fee is real money; the advertised account size is usually a simulated trading allowance. Your risks therefore include losing the fee, being rejected at KYC, breaching the terms, or ending up in a payout dispute. Even with a long-established prop firm, do not treat an unapproved reward as money you already have.

Seven Things To Check Carefully

No clear country terms, yet every payment method is accepted.

Vague drawdown rules that never say whether the measure is balance or equity.

Prohibitions scattered across several pages, so you cannot tell which version applied when you bought.

A maximum profit split advertised as the default for every programme.

No published payout conditions, processing fees, or grounds for refusal.

No identifiable legal entity behind the contract and no complaints channel.

Unusual user reviews: many short, similar entries that describe neither the trading nor the payout.

One signal on its own does not prove a prop firm is fraudulent. Look at the terms, the legal entity and how the firm handles complaints that come with evidence. The same principles are useful when reading the signs of a forex broker scam.

The simplest way to reduce risk is to save the terms as they stood when you paid, keep your trading history, never share the account, and request a payout as soon as you qualify under the rules. Do not build a financial plan around a reward you have not received.

Which Prop Firm To Choose, And How To Work Out The Real Cost

As at this update, FTMO and The5ers are the two places to start looking, because their published restriction lists do not name Vietnam. FundingTraders needs direct confirmation, since the country information has changed before. Eightcap Challenges needs its country list verified before the fee or the platform is even worth discussing. This is an order of checking, not a guarantee that an account or a payout will be granted.

Trader profile

The question to prioritise

First challenge

Is the fee within what you can afford to lose? The table below illustrates the arithmetic only; it is not the current fee schedule of any firm.

Hypothetical case

Profit split

Assumed withdrawal fee

Received before conversion and tax

A

80%

USD 0

USD 800

B

90%

USD 20

USD 880

C

80%

3.5% of the reward

USD 772

The formula: net received = eligible profit × profit split − withdrawal fee − any other fees. The challenge fee is a separate line: only add it back if that specific programme refunds it and you have met the refund conditions. Never apply one firm’s withdrawal fee or refund policy to another.

A prop firm account and a personal trading account serve different needs. You can use a personal account to test a strategy and manage your own capital; when choosing a broker, work through the criteria for a reputable forex broker alongside the broker rebate comparison. Cashback on a personal trading account does not automatically apply to a prop firm challenge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is A Prop Firm Legal In Vietnam?

You cannot infer the legal status of every prop firm from the label alone. Each programme has its own legal entity, contract, products and payment arrangements. Before using a foreign provider’s service, read the terms, check whether it is permitted to serve Vietnamese residents, and work out your own obligations on any money you receive. If the sums are large or the contract is hard to follow, ask a legal and tax professional in Vietnam about your specific case.

Are There Many Prop Firms That Accept Vietnamese Traders?

Do not infer the number from “top firms” listicles. Of the seven names reviewed here, FTMO and The5ers do not name Vietnam in their published restriction lists; FundingTraders needs further confirmation, while Hola Prime and FundingPips have named Vietnam as restricted. Lists change. Before you pay, check the latest terms and ask explicitly about residence, KYC, buying a challenge and receiving a payout.

How Much Does A Prop Firm Challenge Cost, And Is The Fee Refunded?

The fee depends on the programme, the account size and when you buy. An advertised “from” price is usually the smallest option; the split and extra benefits may differ on the package you choose. Some programmes refund the challenge fee only once you qualify for a reward, while others never refund it. Read the correct pricing and refund page for the account you intend to buy, and treat the fee as money you could lose entirely.

How Do You Withdraw A Payout To Vietnam?

The payout method depends on the prop firm and can depend on your country of residence. Check the options shown in your own account, the required account-holder name, the minimum withdrawal, the fees and the processing time. If the firm supports digital assets or a third-party payment provider, add network fees, conversion costs and the rules that apply in Vietnam. Do not buy a challenge because a withdrawal method appears in the marketing: confirm it works after Vietnamese KYC.

Prop Firm Challenge Or A Personal Trading Account?

A prop firm challenge suits you better once you already have a strategy and can hold to strict loss limits but want to try a programme with a larger simulated account. A personal account gives you more control over capital, strategy and broker, though you carry the risk on your own money. Work out the challenge fee, the chance of failing and the net payout before comparing the two — an advertised account size is not profit you can withdraw.

Conclusion

To choose a reputable prop firm in 2026, check in this order: are you allowed to take part → do you understand the trading rules → what is the real cost → is the payout confirmed. FTMO and The5ers are two starting points for comparison; FundingTraders needs direct confirmation. FundingPips and Hola Prime currently publish restrictions on Vietnam, and cases without sufficient evidence should not be promoted as verified options.

This article is for information only and is not investment advice.
