Bear that in mind for every number in this comparison.

Two things separate the HFM account types more than anything else: contract size (Cent versus everything else) and fee structure (spread-only versus raw spread plus commission). Get those two right and the rest of the choice follows.

HFM Premium Account: The Standard, Commission-Free Choice

Premium is the simplest of the HFM account types if you do not want to add commission on top of every trade.

Key characteristics:

Minimum deposit: $0.

EURUSD spread from around 1.4 pips.

No commission under standard conditions.

Maximum leverage up to 1:2000.

1 lot equals 100,000 units.

Supported on MT4, MT5, HFM WebTrader and the HFM App.

Premium has a wider spread than Pro and Zero, but the Backcom cashback rate on several instruments is higher. So do not look at the spread alone and conclude that Premium is always the expensive option.

According to the official HFM Premium account page, the account currently requires no minimum deposit and lists spreads from 1.4 pips.

HFM InfinityX Account: Unlimited Leverage And 0% Stop-Out

InfinityX is the most notable recent addition to the list of HFM account types.

HFM publishes:

Minimum deposit $500.

Account spreads from 0.3 pips.

No commission.

Unlimited maximum leverage.

Margin Call at 20%.

Stop-Out at 0%.

Forex, metals, indices, crypto CFDs and energies.

High leverage alone does not make this a good account for beginners. It is the one feature that sets Cent apart from the other HFM account types, all of which use a 100,000-unit contract.

The official conditions for the HFM Cent account confirm that one Cent lot equals 1,000 units.

Limits Of The HFM Cent Account

The Cent account is good for learning to manage your own psychology and testing a strategy, but it is not something to stay on once your capital grows.

Three limits worth knowing:

Small contract size: unsuitable once you need to trade real volume.

Narrower instrument list: HFM currently lists mainly Forex and Gold.

Hard to compare costs directly with standard lots: 1 Cent lot and 1 Premium/Zero lot are different contract sizes.

Consider moving off the Cent account once you have traded consistently for a while, need more instruments, or keep hitting the volume caps. Any of the other HFM account types will take you straight to a 100,000-unit contract.

When you do scale up, prioritise risk management over simply increasing lot size — bigger positions on the same account balance is how most beginners undo a working strategy.

HFM Zero Account: Spreads From 0 Pips Plus Commission

The HFM Zero account uses a raw spread structure: spreads from 0 pips, with commission added.

The HFM Zero account is built on a raw spread structure: Forex spreads can start at 0 pips, but you pay commission on top.

That is why scalpers, day traders and EA users tend to look at Zero rather than Premium. It is also the only one of the HFM account types where the headline spread genuinely understates what you pay.

How Is HFM Zero Account Commission Calculated?

The most common question is whether the $3 figure is charged one way or both ways.

On the current HFM commission table:

Forex:

$3 per 100,000 units when you open.

$3 per 100,000 units when you close.

Round turn total: $6 per lot.

On EURUSD, one pip on a standard lot is about $10. So $6 of commission is roughly 0.6 pips.

If the spread at the moment of execution is 0.1 pips, your trading cost is approximately:

0.1 pips spread + 0.6 pips commission = 0.7 pips.

For gold, HFM currently publishes Zero commission of about $10 round turn per 100 ounces, which is one standard XAUUSD lot.

You can check the figures directly on the HFM Zero account page.

Which Is Cheaper, Zero Or Premium?

Assume EURUSD trades at exactly the lowest spread HFM publishes:

Premium: 1.4 pips ≈ $14 per lot.

Zero: 0 pips + $6 commission ≈ $6 per lot.

Trade 20 EURUSD lots and the theoretical cost before cashback is roughly:

Premium: $280.

Zero: $120.

That calculation uses the lowest spread, not a realistic average. Cashback rates also differ between Premium and Zero, so you need to factor in the rebate before drawing a conclusion.

See our breakdown of HFM trading fees for spread, commission and swap on each instrument.

For scalpers, a few tenths of a pip adds up quickly over a large number of trades — which is precisely the case where the Zero structure earns its keep.

Premium, Pro And InfinityX: Which One Should You Pick?

Premium, Pro and InfinityX are all commission-free, but they target three different groups of trader.

These three HFM account types all charge no commission under standard conditions, but they aim at three different users.

Criteria

Premium

Pro

InfinityX

Minimum deposit

$0

$100

$500

EURUSD from

1.4 pips

0.6 pips

0.5 pips

Commission

None

None*

None

Max leverage

1:2000

1:2000

Unlimited

Stop-Out

20%

20%

0%

Best for

General-purpose traders

Experienced traders

Larger accounts

HFM Pro Account: From $100, Spreads From 0.6 Pips

Pro sits between Premium and Zero, and it is the middle ground most traders end up on once they have outgrown the entry-level HFM account types.

You still trade on a spread-only structure rather than adding commission the way Zero does, but the spread HFM publishes is considerably tighter than Premium.

The current conditions on the HFM Pro account page are a $100 minimum deposit, spreads from 0.6 pips and maximum leverage of 1:2000.

Pro makes sense if you:

Have capital of around $100 or more.

Want tighter spreads than Premium.

Do not want to add commission to every trade.

Trade Forex or gold reasonably often.

Is InfinityX Better Than Pro?

You cannot answer that on spread alone.

InfinityX requires $500, more than Pro, and in return HFM provides unlimited leverage and a 0% Stop-Out. That is a genuinely different mechanism from the rest of the HFM account types.

If you value simplicity and controlled risk, Pro is usually easier to work with. Only consider InfinityX if you already manage margin confidently, have enough capital, and actually need that leverage structure.

Are Pro Plus And The HFM Top-Up Bonus Still Available?

This is the point to watch when you read older HFM articles.

HFM still mentions Pro Plus in its MT4 suffix documentation, and mentioned both Pro Plus and Top-Up in company news during 2025. The current account comparison table, however, no longer shows either of them — InfinityX appears instead.

Because availability can depend on region, account and timing, check the Open Trading Account section inside myHF before you deposit. Recommendations By Trader Profile

There is no single best account for everyone. The answer to which HFM account to choose depends on your capital, your volume, how often you trade and how you prefer to pay the cost.

Trader profile

Account to consider

Why

Beginner, capital under $100

Cent

Micro lots, low money risk

Regular trading, no commission wanted

Premium

$0 minimum deposit, simple to use

Scalper/EA trading Forex heavily

Zero

Raw spread, easier to optimise total cost

Experienced trader

Pro

Tight spread, no commission

Capital from $500, understands leverage

InfinityX

Competitive spread, flexible leverage

4 Mistakes When Choosing Between HFM Account Types

1. Staying on Cent for too long

The HFM Cent account is genuinely useful while you are learning, but as capital and lot size grow the small contract becomes a ceiling.

2. Picking Zero just because it says “0 pips”

The HFM Zero account still charges commission: about $6 per lot round turn on Forex, and about $10 per lot on gold under the current table.

3. Picking InfinityX just for unlimited leverage

Leverage does not create profit by itself. It only increases how much margin you can deploy, and it can make the account swing far harder if your position sizing is wrong.

4. Looking at spread and ignoring the rebate

Two traders on the same symbol can end up with meaningfully different net costs simply because they use different HFM account types and different IB links.

If your goal is to cut costs, compare spread, commission and HFM cashback through Backcom together.

How To Open Another HFM Account Type Inside myHF

If you already have an HFM account, you do not need a new client profile to try a different type.

The basic process:

Log in to myHF or the HFM App.

Go to the trading accounts area.

Choose to open a new account.

Select the account type, MT4/MT5, currency and the supported parameters.

Make an internal transfer to the new account if needed.

The list shown inside myHF at the moment you open the account is the direct source of truth for which of the HFM account types are available on your profile — availability varies by region and can change.

If you have not registered yet, follow our step-by-step guide on how to open an HFM account.

If you want to compare against a broker in the same bracket, see the 7 Vantage account types.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is The HFM Cent Account A Demo Account?

No. The HFM Cent account trades real money. The difference is that it uses the USC unit and a small contract: 1 Cent lot equals 1,000 units, or 0.01 of a standard lot. HFM currently requires no minimum deposit on this account type.

How Much Commission Does The HFM Zero Account Charge?

The HFM Zero account currently charges Forex commission of about $3 per standard lot per side, so $6 round turn per 100,000 units. On XAUUSD, the HFM table shows about $10 round turn per 100 ounces. Forex spreads can start at 0 pips but move with the market.

How Does Pro Plus Differ From HFM Pro?

Older HFM documents and the MT4 technical pages still mention Pro Plus, but the current HFM account comparison table does not list it. Check myHF directly before relying on Pro Plus figures from older articles. Pro is currently published with a $100 minimum deposit and spreads from 0.6 pips.

Is The HFM Top-Up Bonus Still Running?

Top-Up has appeared in HFM documentation and company news, but it is not on the current public account table. If your account still shows a Top-Up or bonus offer in the Rewards Centre, read the terms in force at that moment rather than applying conditions from an older article before you deposit or withdraw.

Can I Hold Several HFM Account Types At Once?

Yes. One myHF profile can hold several trading accounts, so you can run a Cent account for testing and a Pro or Zero account for live size at the same time. You open each one from the trading accounts area in myHF, and you can move funds between them with an internal transfer.

Which Of The HFM Account Types Gets The Highest Cashback?

Across the rebate table Backcom currently lists for Premium, Pro and Zero, Premium pays more on several symbols: around $7.20 per lot on EURUSD and around $12 per lot on XAUUSD under the No Markup structure. Your actual rate still depends on the link and the instrument.

Conclusion

When you compare HFM account types, the question is not simply which one has the lowest spread. Cent suits beginners and small capital; Premium is simple and commission-free; the HFM Zero account fits scalpers and EAs; Pro balances tight spreads with a simple fee structure; InfinityX is for traders who understand the risk of high leverage.

So the answer to which HFM account to choose comes down to three things: your trading capital, your entry style, and your total cost after commission and cashback.

Before you open any of the HFM account types, re-check the list currently available in myHF and the spread at the exact moment you intend to trade. Published conditions on HFM account types change, and the myHF screen is always the version that applies to you.

If you have already decided to trade with HFM, the Backcom HFM cashback programme can cut back part of the spread and commission you pay along the way.

Last updated: 07 September 2026 HFM offers a lot of choice, from the HFM Cent account for small capital, through Zero for scalpers, up to InfinityX with unlimited leverage.
